Dear Brother and Sister Funk,
I am pleased to inform you that that your son,
Elder Funk, has arrived in the Botswana/Namibia Mission and he is doing
wonderfully. We are delighted to have him serving with us in the Mission. Elder
Funk, will serve initially in the Mabopane District
of Mabopane Zone. His companion and trainer is Elder Fitzgerald, who is from Utah.
Uplifting and supportive letters from home are
important to missionaries. We encourage you to write or e-mail your son weekly. In fact, email communications are preferred.
We appreciate your support of your missionary and
thank you for sharing him with the Botswana/Namibia Mission. I have included a
picture of your missionary with Sister Chadambuka and myself.
