October 8, 2018 - Mission week 66: A Slow but Steady Change of Heart

On mission I have not changed in a moment, or in any sort of quick way of whatever, but slowly and surely things have changed and I noticed a lot of them while watching conference. Besides the normal "I am much more spiritual and Converted more to the Gospel" that happens to most everyone who gives an honest effort as a missionary, I have noticed that for 1, my priorities have been shifting a lot. Mainly in regard to what i plan to do for hobbies when I am home. I have developed a love of Photography, rekindled my love of art, and really want to learn the guitar. As well as my love of the outdoors has gone up a lot. Much like my Mom said they would "My desire to do many of the things I loved before has gone down and become secondary to other goals. I am a (somewhat) new man, and I hope to keep this momentum of change going and speeding up until I get home in a babies time.

but as for the week,
its just been kinda a finding grind. Not a ton has really happened since emailing Wednesday, just waking through the dust of Molepolole, which i learned is the Worlds largest Village. I haven't googled to see if that's accurate, but enough people say that for me to believe it.

General Conference was crazy, We watched everything but Sunday afternoon so far, including the womans session. Lots of great stuff. Truely received a lot of answers to the things that have been on my mind. Can't wait for the new 2 hour block meeting for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which I am a member and missionary.

Gonna send a bunch of pictures since upload speed is good, and I have like nothing to talk about. Got more hiking pictures today of Elder Wilson and I going on a 10 minute walk to the highest point in Moleps. and a cool cave.

So yeah.
I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
its truely led by Revelation to a living prophet.
Can't wait to do more

October 3, 2018 - Mission Week 65: A whole bunchastuff

So this has been a fun week.

Monday, Elder Wilson made history being the first missionary to get a 1 year visa to Botswana, then we played a bunch of games all day.

Tuesday was when mostly a bunch of tracting, but we found a few people that i'll talk more about on the days we actually saw them. we also had a bunch of fun meeting a Recent Convert named Mheto who was here in the Villiage for The Botswana 52 Independance day that was on the 30th of September. Also put a long time investigator named Idoh on date again, this time for the 21 October.

Wednesday, we saw a lot of members and tried to help out with Ministering a bit.

Thursday, was a complete mess of finding people after everyone had canceled due to torrential rain. I got video that cant send, Ill show you in a few months.

Friday, we were back in Gaborone to get the visa sticker for Elder Wilson, so we had district meeting down there, when we came back we did some member visits to try and get refferals.

Saturday, we put 4 people on date, a whole family way out in a place called Kapong, refferals who are really, really excited, but the english is very poor, so its slow going. a bunch of crazy stuff happened involved muddy puddles, gift fishes, and farting children that i can't describe without the videos.

Sunday, we had church, celebrated the Independance and Elder Wilsons birthday, which are the same day. Sis Moremong, the member we buy lunch from every day, gave a talk and she gave Elder Wilson the Twana name of Boipiso, which means Independence, so everyone calls him Elder Boipiso now. That night we drove up to G-west for a hike and meeting in the early morning, i'll try and send pictures from up on top of Oodi "mountain" got some nice shots.

Monday, after said hike we went to party with President Manganela, the 2nd counceler in the Mission Presidency, he is one very funny man we had a good time and a lot of food.

Tuesday, we had some very good lessons to start the day. We went to see a guy named kennedy, but when he wasn't home we had a great Resotoration lesson with his younger brother, Bitlo. then after that we had an even better lesson with our new somewhat Golden Investigator Kenelwe, who we met on tuesday. She asked some awesome questions about why some churches only seem to have peices of the truth, and she wanted the whole thing without any other stuff mixed in. So that was a lot of fun. We also put Khumo on date, a long time investigator and mother to Jonathan.

And then today all the buisnesses are open again after all the fun.
So yeah a lot has happened.
Upload speed is dumb, I'll do my best with pictures.
But here are some nice quotes and thoughts.
